Hello everyone! This weekend’s special event allows us to earn some sweet cosmetics: The Edge of Night. Once again, it is one of my favorite formats, Singleton, with a twist as you’ll have a Nightfall emblem which will heavily impact how you play the game! If you’re a fan of cosmetics and/or Singleton, you don’t want to miss this event!
Event Details
Night is sweeping across the land. Ominous howls and cruel cackles fill the long shadows, and it is well past time for good folk to bar the door and pray for sunrise. But for those bold enough to venture out into the dark, there’s adventure and glory to be had. If you choose to face the night head-on, you’ll win eternal night card styles from Innistrad: Midnight Hunt representing some of the foes you’ve faced. You’ll get new card styles each time until you’ve collected the whole set.

We have 5 new Singleton decks specially crafted for this event, to fully take advantage of the Day and Night cycle and of course, The Celestus sprinkled on top. You can also take advantage of our Singleton decks brewed for the previous Festival event that don’t overlap with the new ones below, which are most likely good enough for this event! You can find the complete list on the bottom of the guide.
With some inspiration from the Mono Blue Tempo deck I wrote about recently, Monoblue seems like a solid choice for this event as well since you can easily switch between day and night to take full advantage of the emblem!
Like any good midrange deck, Orzhov does a great job at playing well at any stage of the game as well as having ample opportunities to switch from Day to Night and back when needed.
When people are looking to go big, we go under. Boros makes use of the fastest cards in the format and some Burn for reach to punish anyone playing a slower deck.
It is the Edge of Night so we should play Werewolves! Werewolves are going to be super charged considering most games will start off at Nighttime since it’s highly unlikely both players will have spells turns 1 to 2 making all your creatures huge for free!
Have you got a cool brew to show off for this event? Submit it using our deck builder! Let us know how you fare in the comments below, or join our Discord community.
